Holistic Approach to Making Peace with Food and Body Two questions that keep coming back from new members in our community:  What does it mean to Go Beyond The Food?  And then...   Why would I need to Go Beyond The Food?  These are GOOD questions and to be honest, a very good starting point for us to have a  very powerful conversation.   To answer these 2 questions, we must first recognize that for most of us, women, we’ve been trained since a young age via Diet Culture to seek a diet solution to our “food issues, weight and body” within the constraints of our physical body. The solution being to a-beat our body into shape and b-restrict our food. Ultimately, we’ve been deeply trained to believe that getting a thinner physical body would bring us health and happiness.  Yet it doesn’t work.
