In Chapter 3, God exalts Joshua in the eyes of Israel, he promotes him in a leadership role. Joshua was obedient to God and his circle of influence grew because of it. People were not going to follow Joshua without knowing that God was with him. If we truly desire to lead and grow as men, we need to understand that people will only follow us when they know that God is with us.
