Europe Day is looming large on the horizon. The day, which celebrates "peace and unity in Europe", is celebrated on the 5th of May by the Council of Europe and on the 9th of May by the European Union. An event to mark Europe Day will be held today in Ennis. “Europe: Past, Present, Future” will take place at the Old Ground Hotel later (10am-12pm). It is being hosted by the Mayor of Ennis, Committee of Regions member, and Fianna Fáil Councillor, Clare Colleran Molloy.
