Death is not a friend; it’s an enemy! “The last enemy to be destroyed is death.” —1 Corinthians 15:26 God did not want people to die. 1. Life is filled with pain, sorrow, and the death of loved ones. 2. God loves us. (Therefore, whatever He does or allows to happen in your life, as His child, is motivated by His everlasting love for you). “Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick.” —John 11:3 “He is a very present help in time of trouble.” —Psalm 46:1 Even though we cannot see how the situation will end, or why it has come upon us, we can know it flows from the love of God and is controlled by Him.
