Transit officials in San Francisco are backtracking on plans to ticket drivers parked too close to an intersection even if the curb isn't painted red. A new daylighting law went into effect at the start of the year which prohibits parking 20 feet before an intersection. Officials initially said they didn't have the budget to paint the curbs red, but planned to start handing out tickets anyway.
