Join Holly of Red Velvet Media as she talks to old friend and owner of Ragin Cajun Stephen Domingue. *Stephen is involved in a fun project with the food network. *Please see the press release below in the blog:))) The Ragin Cajun Cafe opened in 1992, in beautiful Hermosa Beach, California. It was founded by Stephen Domingue, originally from Cajun country, Lafayette, Louisiana. When he moved to Southern California in 1987, Steve missed the one-of-a-kind cooking he had grown to love back home. Realizing that no authentic Cajun restaurants existed in Southern California, Steve hit upon the idea of bringing the unmatchable taste of fine Cajun cuisine to theL.A. area. Quickly, he preparedsome of his mother’s own Cajun specialties and began previewing them at local foodfestivals. These "practice runs" were a huge success, and just about everyone who sampled the delicious food asked, "Where’s the restaurant located?" The response confirmed what Steven knew: the time was perfect to make the Ragin Cajun a reality.
