  Bryan Downey Was Born in Liverpool UK Learned to play guitar @7 years old  Joined the British army in 1975 to escape the un-employment epidemic. (Also because I saw a picture of my dad in uniform.) Left the Army in 1980 after serving 3 tours of Northern Ireland (this felt wrong as my ancestry was Irish). 1980 Moved to France to be a traveling singer in vacation resorts. 1986 after being tired of COVERS, he put the guitar down and moved to the US. A dart thrown at a map landed me in NANTUCKET. and CAPE COD   He pursued photography and went to school in NY. Moved to San Francisco in 1996 to pursue CINEMATOGRAPHY   He was also free lancing photography for the "SAN FRANCISCO EXAMINER CHRONICLE" and landed a huge front page spread. On the arrival of my first child Georgia in 1998 he decided to move back to LONG ISLAND NY and worked as a general contractor.
