Steve Brumme is a polio survivor and a champion athlete.  On June 2 through July 12, 2013, he will hand cycle 750 miles down the Pacific Coast from his home in Sonoma County to Santa Barbara, and back, stopping along the way to give scheduled speeches in 10 Rotary Clubs about living an inspiring life and helping the Rotary Clubs fulfill on their pledges to contribute to End Polio Now.  Through this End Polio Now Bike Tour pledge drive, he will help raise public awareness and $50,000 for the Rotary International End Polio Now campaign.   Because he walks on leg braces and crutches he has a deep personal commitment to see polio end.  He has a long track record of being an outstanding athlete.  He is a champion martial artist, a rock climber, a horse back rider, a long distance walker, and a long-term hand cyclist.  He has been in training for long distance hand cycling since 2009.  His friends describe him as a “renaissance man.” He is a master painter, a musician, a published writer, a life coach, a teacher, a
