Most all of us have someone in our family history that made moonshine. A lot of families in this area were raised on the money made from illegal liquor. People back in the old days had unbelievable survival skills and determination. Learning more about the history and heritage of the art of making moonshine will give you a much greater respect for your ancestors and what they went through. Making moonshine takes skill and smarts, it’s not an easy task.   Donnie Benton grew up in Old Landing Ky. His granddaddy was a Moonshiner.
