Pamela Pine, PhD, MPH, is an international health and development specialist who has worked and continues working throughout the world on some of the world's most difficult issues (e.g., child survival, HIV, leprosy). She is the founder of Stop the Silence: Stop Child Sexual Abuse (Stop the Silence). The mission of the organization is to expose and stop child sexual abuse and help survivors heal worldwide (www.stopthesilence.org). Stop the Silence focuses on awareness, prevention, and healing regarding child sexual abuse through a host of creative and proven programming locally, nationally, and internationally. Stop the Silence uses, for example, Art as Advocacy through film, theater and still art to open people up and ready them for understanding and action; and the Road to Change, a 10,000 mile all-Europe walk and program affecting awareness and education on a mass scale (http://roadtochange.eu).
