This week’s on Gay’s PSA, I will have Attorney, Professor and Author David McCarty on the air with me. David’s  practice is focused on appeals and complex litigation. In the past decade, he has been counsel in over 80 state and federal appeals.  He has presented oral argument over 30 times at the Mississippi Supreme Court, the Court of Appeals of Mississippi, the Fifth Circuit, and the Eighth Circuit.    Since 2005, David has been an adjunct professor at Mississippi College School of Law, where he has taught courses in trial practice, evidence, pretrial practice, appellate advocacy, and legal writing.  He was honored as the Adjunct Professor of the Year for 2016-17.   David is the author of the Evidence chapter of the Encyclopedia of Mississippi Law, and is also a contributing author to the treatise Mississippi Civil Procedure.  He also regularly presents CLE topics on appellate advocacy and ethics.
