After a 28 year career as a FBI Agent, Ted Gunderson started his own private investigation firm in Santa Monica. He was involved in many famous investigations. In 1990, Gunderson and an archeologist excavated the site of the McMartin Preschool, and claimed to have uncovered tunnels filled in, a finding that would confirm prior student claims. Following the Oklahoma City bombing, Gunderson promoted Michael Riconosciuto’s claims that the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building was destroyed not by a truck bomb, but by a pineapple-sized “barometric bomb”. Gunderson refers to local (not national) news reports of bombs planted inside the building which were found because they did not detonate. In 1996, Gunderson ran against House Republican John Ensign as the candidate of the Independent American Party (the Nevada affiliate of the Constitution Party).
