While there he met his first teachers, Zen Buddhist Monks, who taught him about intuitive insight. He began to learn their teachings and traditions and spent as much time with them as the military would allow. Upon returning to the U.S. he earned his undergrad degree in the field of psychology and upon graduation found himself with an urge to travel to India.
