It is Black History Month on the CCShow and we are kicking off the discussion w/ the Jefferson Effect. What is the Jefferson effect? It is from the sitcom the Jefferson's which centered around a black business man & his family moving up in lifestyle and wealth. African-Americans have seen dramatic shifts in society since the era of Jim Crow. Integration in some parts of society seems to be in full effect, more blacks are living a lifestyle like the sitcom "The Jeffersons", & we now have the first Black President. However, are we perserving the legacy? Have we moved on up & failed to share with our children the legacy of our past? It all sums up to our question of the day, "How & are you preserving the legacy?" Tune in and join the discussion.
