In October of 2000, while docked and refueling in Yemen, al-Qaeda suicide bombers attacked the United States Navy destroyer USS Cole. The crippling explosion killed 17 sailors and injured 39 others. The USS Cole's commanding officer at the time CDR Kirk S. Lippold will join Cathy to discuss his new book which recounts his harrowing experiences in the aftermath of the terrorist bombing.
