Students across several disciplines at Old Dominion University are taking a closer look at crime. They're examining national crime statistics, Clery reports and Capstone research projects in an attempt to better understand the crime occurring in the neighborhoods surrounding ODU. Today we'll talk to the educator at the heart of this effort, Professor Lynn Waltz, about her Public Journalism in a Digital Age course and how her students are learning that there's much more to journalism than just reporting the news.
