One of his most famous works, I Am Legend, has been adapted as The Omega Man, The Last Man on Earth, and the eponymous Will Smith version. For television, he contributed to Star Trek, created Duel and The Night Stalker, and penned some of the most famous episodes of The Twilight Zone. But one of his most enduring, and endearing, films is a low-budget romance starring Christopher Reeve (fresh off his turn in the tights as Superman) and Jane Seymour. The pair play a couple separated by sixty years but brought together by hypnosis-induced time travel in story that features a signature Matheson twist.
