The story of Abraham marks the beginning of the Hebrew people... Abram (Abraham) receives the grand promises of God... promises that conceive an entire people group, bestowing on them the mission to restore the world, promises that create such a holy ruckus in the life of Abraham that nothing is the same for him again. This is adventurous in-breaking of the Kingdom stuff.
