Its true self condemnation will ruin the life of any believer even if its for just moments at a time. We are all so concerned about our heavenly appearance either to others or just to ourselves or even fearing what God may think. Let's step back a minute and think about the obvious from the Bible. How often did Jesus refuse to forgive people? None that we can ever recall, right? He always forgave! Hebrews 13:8 says Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever! Jesus must still be forgiving! Of course He is. We'll then say "yes He forgives, but He's upset with me!" All of this is a vicious cycle designed to discredit what our Lord Jesus did for us! If you self condemn yourself without reminding yourself of the forgiveness Jesus purchased you then you actually are making more of a deal about your mistake then the price Jesus paid to have that sin removed. No where does the Bible tell us to feel so sorry for our sins that we don't accept our forgiveness and move on
