The title of the Torah portion this Shabbat is Vayechi, "And Jacob lived." The Talmud says that Jacob, our father never died. As his seed, his children are alive, so is he alive. This means that you can see the eternity of Jacob in his children. More, that every Jew is a child of Jacob and is similar to Jacob. If we are like Jacob our offspring, our seeds, are every thing we do say or think, and these seeds will grow. When Moshiach comes we will see the light of every mitzvah and even items that are officially not a mitzvah but are done for G-d's sake last forever. But how can we make those seeds alive?
