Saints game will paint picture of rest of Falcons season

Not to point out the completely obvious, but the Atlanta Falcons getting off to a 1-2 start is less than ideal. Granted, this is the toughest part of their 2024 schedule on paper, and it doesn’t get any easier versus the division rival New Orleans Saints on Sunday. Chalk the week one loss up to “rust” if you want, but the Falcons showed a lot of moxie in stealing a win from the Philadelphia Eagles. The week three loss to the Kansas City Chiefs actually could have been a win, as it came down to the final minutes of the fourth quarter, but the Falcons offense looked really good in the first half, and there were a lot of positive takeaways from that game. Now the Falcons get their first taste of division play in the 2-1 New Orleans Saints, who put up 91 points over their first two games, then played a close on versus Philadelphia in a week 3 loss. While the Saints offense sputtered a bit in week three, they cannot be looked past, especially with them having one of the best defenses in the NFL. As Randy McMichael
