Coach Carrington served Cardinal Gibbons H.S. (Raleigh, NC) as boy’s basketball coach (2008-14). Thirteen players earned academic all-conference honors annually. Five of his six seasons included North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) State Playoff berths. Cardinal Gibbons was the 2009-10 Carolina Six 3A Conference Champions, and Carrington was named league Coach of the Year. The 2013-14 Crusaders earned North Carolina’s highest grade point average among NCHSAA basketball teams. Carrington, a previous assistant coach at St. Augustine’s University and N.C.
