Clinic Notes found at https://teachhoops.lpages.co/clinic-notes/ Guy Shavers has been the head coach at Southwest Guilford High School past 13 years. For the first five years they managed a record of 41-86, however the last eight years they have managed a record of 182-44 and averaging at least 19 wins during that time. In 2017 his Cowboys were the NCHSAA 4A Champions. Shavers was also awarded the 2016-2017 N.C. District 7 Coach of the Year. The Cowboys have gone to the playoffs each of the previous nine seasons and 10 of his 13 years overall. Shavers has been undefeated in conference play twice and has won his conference six times.
