The Pirates have played better defensively the last 12 games. Pirates reporter Andrew Destin of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette joined the show to talk about Paul Skenes. The rotation is the one solid spot on the team right now that the Pirates can depend on. We listen to an answer Derek Shelton gave saying "no, he's scheduled to start in Indy" when asked if Skenes will be in Pittsburgh, but the no was quick and not a definitive no, leaving some speculation. Nick Gonzales has been very good in Triple-A utilizing a new swing design. He looks comfortable swinging this way and should be in the majors.
