Synopsis

During the 1800’s modern civilization was making its inexorable march across North America. The progress of settlers across the western United States came at the cost of both the native americans cultures who lived there and indigenous wildlife. Timberwolves had once been a common sight in the midwest before settlers began to farm the land. Seeing the wolves as a threat to livestock and livelihood the settlers were obliged to hunt the beasts until the last timberwolf in Ohio was killed in 1842. Four decades later a group of lumberjacks in Wexford County Michigan had a disturbing encounter with an unidentified creature. When they described what they had seen the description seemed to fit what would be a close match for the modern day depiction of a werewolf. Sightings of these humanoid-canine creatures are reported all across North America. Seen both at night and in broad daylight the creatures often appear aggressive but those who have made reports of their sightings are often not outright attacked. Could the
