UCLA required to pay $10 million a year in Calimony to the Golden Bears

In this episode of the Podcast of Champions hosts Ryan Abraham and David Woods are in studio talking about the latest development in the conference realignment craziness, with UCLA forced to pay rival Cal $10 million a year for three years in "Calimony," taking a chunk out of the Bruins Big Ten media rights windfall. On Tuesday the UC Board of Regents adopted the Calimony proposal to help the Golden Bears' athletic department after the Bruins left the Pac-12 for greener pastures. UC system president Michael Drake originally recommended the $10 million per year amount last week and intended to extend those payments through 2030. Following the vote they (thankfully for UCLA) scaled back the payments to just three years with the possibility to revisit the decision at that time.
