Empathy no way - well maybe this way A five minute quickie podcast I have always said I don't do empathy, I didn't think I did empathy with my clients. If empathy is being able to feel what another persons feeling then why would I need to feel what they're feeling when they have issues such as panic attacks, anxiety, depression and grief and .... well you fill in the blank. My mum, bless her soul, did empathy really well and people left their negative emotions on her shoulders - a heavy weight to bear. I love compassion and then I had a thought could I do both in a way that works and makes me feel light? and the answer was YES listen for a spell and I'll explain.
