Her body language was throwing him slightly off and he was concerned about it. He approached her and it turned out she was deeply invested in the workshop! She was inspired by the talk! She was just tired. It was a powerful insight for Bill. We get invested in our ability to “read” people, but sometimes we just get that part plain wrong. The biggest takeaway Bill learned was to not assume! Instead, check in and validate. Ask questions and come in with an open mind about it.
