Albert Pujols is officially a St. Louis Cardinal again. In his re-introductory press conference, it became clear that the Cardinals did not make this move in a ceremonial manor. This move is intended to help them win a championship. While this move might not put them in the conversation with the Dodgers or Braves, it does improve them. Pujols, Yadier Molina and Adam Wainwright all want to win. The Cardinals' leadership, including Oli Marmol want to win. This move would not have been made if it were just for ceremony or pageantry.
