The newly appointed chief justice of India Ranjan Gogoi and his predecessor Justice dipak mishra have amassed considerably lesser wealth and assets as compared to the other senior lawyers arguing before them in the Supreme Court. The assets declarations by the two Supreme Court judges revealed that their collective lifelong savings in bank balance and other assets were perhaps less than the daily earnings of several top advocates. Of course, the judges do get good perks, allowances and help at their residence. But here in terms of money, it seems like there are also some top judges who are far disadvantaged compared to other senior advocates.
