Perspective.

Putting together the Constitution of the United States was not exactly what many of us would like to think of as unique and extraordinary. In writing the Constitution, the framers were trying to do a couple of things: fix the Articles of Confederation, which was a lack of federal power, specifically to raise adequate taxes, and they wanted to do it in such a way as to get the fix enacted into law. On this week’s Perspective program a look at how the framers went about it. Guest: Jeffrey Jackson, a professor of law at Washburn University.
