For decades, there has been a continual growth in the income gap between rich and poor. And that increasing gap has been accompanied by deep social and political divisions. One expert thinks the U.S. is paying a severe price for its failure to update policies, institutions and practices governing employment relations. Guest: Thomas Kochan, George M. Bunker Professor of Work and Employment Relations at the MIT Sloan School of Management and co-director of the MIT Institute for Work and Employment Research. Perspective is a weekly public affairs program hosted by Richard Baker, communications professor at Kansas State University.
