We might be tempted to think that there is a textbook somewhere with the answers to every question of the Christian life. But there isn’t. The teaching that we need is intensely practical. You may have a complete understanding of every biblical passage about love, but if you are not loving then you have missed the point. You may be able to offer a very good definition of faith, but if you don’t exercise faith then it will do you no good.
