Cal built a 14-point lead in the fourth quarter over USC but the Golden Bears four turnovers and failed two-point try at the end gave the Trojans a 50-49 victory. Stanford gave Washington all it could handle on the Farm but the Huskies escaped with a 42-33 victory over the Cardinal.
