In the third part of the series, Pastor George Sawyer encourages the church to be thankful like Jesus. Although Jesus never ceased being God while He walked Earth, He limited Himself to His humanity to show that we can do the same things that He did. So how and when did Jesus give thanks? 1. In the feeding of the 5,000. 2. At the Last Supper. 3. At Lazarus's tomb. We can follow His pattern of prayer and thanksgiving: Father, here’s an impossibility but I give you thanks BEFORE the miracle. Thanksgiving holds the peace until the answer comes. After these examples of Jesus, Pastor Sawyer teaches the meanings of two Hebrew words for praise: hallal and yadah and then leads the church in a time of praise and thanksgiving.
