  Vidcast:  https://youtu.be/LLmUBaxZ1Mc   Moderna issues a preliminary report that their variant booster protects against both the South African and Brazilian variants.  Side-effects of this booster vaccine were mild.   In this small phase 1/2 trial, 60 participants received the mRNA-1273.351 booster.  Two weeks after the boost, all but one participant enjoyed an increase in protective titers against both variants and an antibody bump agains the original Wuhan strain.  The levels of both local and systemic side effects to the booster were on the order of those seen after the second Moderna shot.   More testing with various dosages of this booster vaccine are underway, but these initial results are promising indeed.   https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2021.05.05.21256716v1.full-text   #moderna #booster #safrican #brazilian #variant #CoVid
