Synopsis
Vidcast: https://youtu.be/ZZjYe2VlV3Q The CPSC and GE Appliance are recalling GE-brand Free-Standing French Door Refrigerators. The freezer handles are defective and may detach when pulled to access the freeze drawer, and that may lead to a fall and injuries. About 155,000 of these refrigerators were sold in the US and about 2300 were sold in Canada. If you think you have one of these refrigerators, call GE Appliances at 1-888-345-4671 to check if your particular refrigerator is involved in the recall. You will need the make, model, and serial number of your appliance, and this info is printed on a label that may be found on the top left side of the fridge interior. If you have an affected unit, GE will schedule a free repair visit to replace the handle mounting fasteners. https://www.cpsc.gov/Recalls/2022/GE-Appliances-a-Haier-Company-Recalls-Bottom-Freezer-French-Door-Refrigerators-Due-to-Fall-Hazard #GE #freezerhandle #detaching #fall #injury #recall
