Synopsis

On this episode of the podcast we get into a little detail about "Project Desert Garden" where a group of researchers have been studying and figuring out ways to successfully recycle and use old foam mattresses set for the land fill and repurpose them for a hydroponic desert garden to grow nutritious vegetables, fruits, and herbs to feed the community. We talk about all the positive aspects this can play in people's lives even after they leave the refugee camps as well as the possibility of providing many people with food in desert regions of the world. That and don't forget to help The Block Gives Back next Tuesday on the 25th to help prep and distribute food to those in need.
