It had fun hand motions, and who doesn’t love a song with fun hand motions? Maybe you remember it... I’ve got a river of life flowing out of me. Makes the lame to walk and the blind to see. Opens prison doors, sets the captives free. I’ve got a river of life flowing out of me. Spring up, o well, within my soul! Spring up, o well, and make me whole. Spring up o well, and give to me, that life abundantly.   Now, I don’t know about your Sunday School teachers, but I don’t recall mine ever really taking the time to explain the “river of life.” Where does it come from? Of course, the Sunday School answer is “Jesus” or “God.” And maybe as a kid, I didn’t really care all that much where it came from; it was just fun to jump, hop, and “splish, splash” with my friends as we sang.
