I’m excited to bring you a conversation I had several weeks ago about the astrological centaurs with an evolutionary astrologer who specializes with the centaurs, David Leskowitz. We discussed Chiron, Pholus, Chariklo and Okyrhoe. Chiron is the most well-known of these, but even so it’s worth exploring Chiron deeper than the keyword “wounded healer” - what does that really mean?I loved learning more about the centaurs and also feeling the energy of the centaurs directly in the conversation. David and I share a perspective that the archetypes are not just abstract ideas but beings. Pluto for example, is one of the archetypes I do the most work with. A few days ago I found a packet of papers in my closet, which were some notes I took to give a creative writing workshop called "Method Acting Writing", which was about fully getting into character to produce a work of writing. Basically, if the creative vision exceeds one's current identity, then a new identity has to be created. This is how we can step into doing or creating things we have never before. Taurus and Scorpio are a tantric axis - Taurus is sensual, yes, and Scorpio sexual. (Though they are both, both.) Taurus relates to our relationship with ourself and our environment, and how complete we can be in ourselves yet receptive to resource, pleasure, and simply feeling good in our bodies and feeling rooted in our self-worth.
