Not all women want a traditional life. Dr. Cori McClaughry, a dear high school friend of mine, has shaped her medical career around her desire to travel. Dr. McClaughry does urgent care shift work and primary care at community clinics in the Bay Area in order to travel up to 5 months a year. She has also done extensive international medical work including several tours with Mercy Ships. When she’s not traveling, she lives in California. As this episode airs, she is in the Maldives. On this episode I interview my younger sister Debi Maguire. (A shout out to her for all her love and support - whoo hoo!) We talk about how she was feeling fine about turning 40 but then had a running injury that left her in a lot of pain and made her question her age. We also talk about why - all of a sudden - she wants to revert back to her maiden name. I flew out to Colorado where Debi lives with her husband and two young kids.
