According to an audit by MBRRACE black British women are five times more likely to die in childbirth than white women.     Stella is a psychotherapist and public speaker based in rural Ireland. In 2018 she presented a documentary called ‘Trans kids, It’s time to talk, You can hear the producer, Olly Lambert, discussing some of the challenges that he faced producing that film here.  We first met Stella after she came to speak at our event - Detransition: The Elephant in the Room.  You can hear the panel discussion here.  She is part of a growing number of clinicians who have concerns about the treatment that we offer to children who identify as transgender. She produces a podcast with fellow psychologist and Jungian analyst Lisa Marchiano called Secrets of the Motherworld. They discuss a range of topics but have a particular interest in the phenomenon of transgenderism and its impact on family relationships. We caught up with Lisa a couple of months ago to discuss her research into gender dysphoria - causes and treatments.
