Text: 1 Corinthians 15:20–28 Topic(s): Resurrection, Death, New Life Big Idea of the Message: Jesus’s resurrection is the basis of our belief that death does not have the final say. Because Jesus is raised to life, we will also be raised to life. Application Point: Christians believe that death is not the final word, because Jesus’s resurrection defeats death and guarantees our future resurrection. The tomb is empty!

Big Idea of the Series: Palm Sunday is the day set aside to remember Jesus’ Triumphal Entry and the beginning of Holy Week. By telling the story of Jesus’ entrance into Jerusalem, this message challenges listeners to wonder if their self-righteousness and pride is keeping them from recognizing and participating in God’s work. Text: Luke 19:28-44 Topic: Hypocrisy, Self-righteousness, Salvation, Triumphant Entry Big Idea of the Message: Rather than seeing Jesus’ Triumphal Entry for what it was—a fulfillment of prophecy—many, including the religious leaders, were so concerned with keeping their own power and authority, that they missed the Messiah. Applicational Point: It’s possible to be close to religion, and yet still miss God.

Throughout this series, we've been looking at different aspects of joy. In this final video, we'll take a look at what it means to have joy in unity. We'll see how joy can help us grow in our relationship with God, and how it can make us more open and compassionate towards others.

This Week:  Text: 2 Samuel 6:12–23; Psalm 150 Topics: Joy, God’s Work, Responding to God Big Idea of the Message: David experienced an incredible level of joy when God brought the ark of the covenant back to Jerusalem through David’s efforts. Application Point: When God moves in our lives in a way that is both restorative and powerful, we are called to celebrate in whatever way will glorify him the most.

Application Point: If we are to live as God intends, then we will need to figure out how to see joy as a gift. But as with any gift, we cannot benefit from it unless we use it as intended.

This one week series walks us through the life of Joseph in Genesis 37-45.  Through it, we are able to see the remarkable providence of God. 

Big Idea: In this series for Advent, we will explore the first chapter of the Gospel of John. What did it mean for God to take on human flesh and walk among us? As we grow in understanding, our hearts will become more prepared for the Christmas holiday and for an encounter, once again, with the living God. This Week Text: John 1:9–13, 29–34 Topics: Adoption, Forgiveness, Faith Big Idea of the Message: Through Jesus God gives us forgiveness. Application Point: Why not ask for God’s forgiveness for Christmas this year?
