Mister Benfica

A special midweek episode in response to today embarrassing ticketing debacle in respect to the final match of the season(still without a date/time). Tickets are sold out but thousands left out due to the website crashing makes me ask are Benfica really a big club or um clube do Bairro??

In this episode I break down the win away at Braga on April 27. Benfica continues to struggle at the beginning of matches and again has to make a comeback to salvage the 3 pts. However Porto have dropped 2 points leaving Benfica with a 2 pt advantage in the standings, can Benfica handle the pressure of being in the lead?? Also a Modalidades heavy edition of the News and Darlene scores her 100th, 101st and 102nd goals of the season as Benfica Ladies continue to cruise through the 2a Divisao. Then technical difficulties and the inability to up load the last 2 segments cuts the episode short but no worries I will be back next weekend at the normal time to review the Portimonense game. This week I react to Benfica's elimination from the UEFA Europa League. I'll talk about what went wrong, what Benfica and Benfiquistas need to change as well as a recap of last week's 4-2 win over Setubal and talk briefly on Benfica's women's team booking their spot at the Jamor in the cup final by winning their 2nd Leg in Braga in the Cup Semi-final just as I finished recording.

This week I look back at both victories first away in Santa Maria da Feira then at at home to Eintracht Frankfurt. I'll talk about again about VAR decisions, "a grandeza do Benfica", Joao Felix being named Europa League player of the week and even give my 2 cents on Benfica losing late to Porto in Basketball last week...yes there's actually Basketball in Portugal.

This week I go off into a spirited rant regarding the current state of Portuguese football in relation to Benfica, the League, the Federation and of course the referees. Analysis on the win over Tondela at the Luz and mostly opinion regarding the debacle in the Cup semi final 2nd Leg at Sporting.

This week is all about the Paso Doble of sweeping the season series with Porto. In-depth analysis and reaction to Benfica 2-1 win in the Cidade Invicta. I'll hit on tactics, on the chess match between the managers, Joao Felix vs Pepe, Gabriel's double yellow card, VAR failure again.
