We also talked about his 1978 US Amateur Championship victory over Scott Hoch, and his first win on Tour at the 1-81 Bing Crosby National Pro-Am in a 5 way playoff over some of the legends of the game in Hale Irwin, Bobby Clampett, Ben Crenshaw, and Barney Thompson.
