Episode 344 - XWA Gon' Give It To Ya They're here! The X-wing Alliance have released their first ever points update! It's a Beta set of points and they want us (all of us) to go out and play X-wing and see what works and doesn't! The cast go through some of the changes and discuss some of the design choices the XWA Points team have made. Thanks to all involved in getting these to us as they've done a lot of work in around 2 months, and this is only the start! They won't be perfect, but it'll certainly shake up the meta! Episode 336 - Mixing It Up This week we're joined by Nick Sperry of 312 Squadron to chat about XWA news and alternative X-wing formats. The X-wing Alliance (the community effort starting up to look after the X-wing Miniatures Game) has elected it's 3 'leaders', these people will be steering the development of the group and looking to establish some sort of organisation! Whilst we await the future of the game at large we chat about some of the events or alternate formats that are around or that we've been playing in. This includes the NCX Draft League run by Greg at Nickel City X-wing, Nick's own points adjustments found at 312 Squadron and we're playing in a 12 week online event run by Conor at Tauntaun squadron where each week we have a unique game rule that could affect what we choose to fly! Episode 335 - X-wing is dead, long live X-wing! We're back already! And today we're chatting about the news that although Atomic Mass Games may have given up developing the X-wing Miniatures Game... the community is not ready to give up on the game! Earlier today there was an announcement by around 30 members of the community that are looking to take over the stewardship of X-wing. You can find this on our Facebook page and Discord, as well as on many others out there! This group is trying to represent a wide cross section of the player base including some of the prominent content creators and membership from a large number of different countries and communities. Tim, Liam and Ben are part of this group and although early days we chat a little about what's been going on (warning: this is few days old so it's very early on) and what the group might be doing in short and long term.
