People all across the nation came together last night in prayer for Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin, who collapsed suddenly during last night's Monday Night Football game. Though Damar's health is still up in the air, something pretty incredible has come out of it.

When you really think about it, the reality of the Christmas story is breath taking.Jesus was created of a mother who He created, He was carried by hands that he formed, He cried in the manger in wordless infancy. All by design.Because of that baby, we have hope.

What J. I. Packer said about the beauty of Jesus in human form really resets my gaze on the beauty of Christ this Christmas and I hope it might do the same for you!

Feeling stressed with Christmas coming up this weekend? I understand.But I'm not going to try and provide any counsel. Nope, I'll just defer to this 5-year-old who's got just the right words.

Word of advice: if you feel like the Lord placed someone on your heart to reach out to, do it. I was gonna call, but now, it's too late.

Do you remember the first time you saw "A Charlie Brown Christmas" Special? Can you believe it came out in 1965??There's a lot to love about it but there's this part in the movie where Linus tells the other characters about the true meaning of Christmas by reciting the story of Jesus' birth from Luke 2. If you know anything about Charlie Brown and specifically the character Linus, he always carries around a blanket for security. About 40 seconds into his speech, he gets to the part where he says "..Fear Not...", he drops the blanket. He let go of it.The message is simple, yet brilliant. The birth of Jesus separates us from our fears. So this Christmas season, you no longer have to cling to the metaphorical blanket you carry to deal with your insecurities because through Christ, you can walk in strength.

The Christmas season can be stressful and if you're feeling the weight of that stress as you head into this weekend, you may be reaching your limit.What if I told you the remedy is simpler than you think?
