If you've ever been through a cancer battle, it can feel like cancer can do just about anything to rob you of your happiness. But after receiving a touching letter of encouragement from a friend as I'm facing my own battle, they reminded me of all the things cancer CAN'T do!

There's a lot of things I love about working at KCBI, but maybe above all else, I love that we pray. We really pray. It's not something we just talk about. It's part of our day to day here.And with so much going on in our world, I'd like to take a second and pray with you now.In Jesus name.-Sonny

Keller ISD Teacher Amy Hall is a lifelong Texas Rangers fan who got hit in the head by a home run ball during Game 6 of the American League Championship Series in Houston on Sunday. Turns out, Amy actually had a lifelong fear of being hit by a baseball.Way to take one for the team, Amy! And GO RANGERS!

God has been so present.

You ever grab a flashlight and it’s not working? You don't throw it away, right? Of course not. You make sure to open it and put some new batteries in it. Well, when a friend finds themselves in a dark place, you don't throw them away either. Sometimes, all they need are some new batteries.

I learned a great lesson when I was younger. Someone was being difficult and I said something ugly about them to another person.That other person was a dear friend who pulled me aside and said, "You really don't know what they're going through do you? I would tell you but it's not my story to tell, so instead I encourage you to read Romans 2:1-3 the next time you want to judge someone."OUCH! And double ouch after I read it, "Therefore you have no excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things. We know that the judgment of God rightly falls on those who practice such things. Do you suppose, O man—you who judge those who practice such things and yet do them yourself—that you will escape the judgment of God?"That correction helped change my world view.-Sonny
