Loved ones of a pastor’s wife who was found dead in a North Carolina state park with a bullet wound to her head are not convinced she died by suicide, as her husband claims. Instead, they’re pressing authorities to probe Mica Miller’s death as something potentially more sinister—especially after her husband’s announcement of her death a day after her body was found did little to quell rumors about the tragedy. “This has to be at least looked into deeply,” Kenn Young, Mica Miller’s friend, told WPDE. “There’s got to be some accountability here, because yeah, a tragic life was lost, and it’s not just as simple as mental health issues.” Miller’s body was found Saturday in Lumber River State Park, about 70 miles north of the Solid Rock Church at Market Common in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where an obituary said she was a worship leader, graphic designer, youth leader, women’s ministry leader, and an assistant to her husband, John-Paul Miller. A pastor whose wife took her own life weeks after speaking out about alleged abuse within their marriage has been released from his ministerial functions. Pastor John-Paul Miller, 44, was released from his duties at Solid Rock at Market Common Church in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. His wife Mica Miller, 30, was found dead at Lumbee River State Park in North Carolina on April 27 from a self inflicted gunshot wound. An email seen by News13 said: 'I, Charles Randall, by the authority vested in me as overseer, hereby release Pastor John-Paul Miller from all ministerial functions for a time of healing, counsel, and guidance, pursuant to our governing instrument.' Weeks before her passing, she shared a video speaking about abuse within marriage as claims emerge she was being harassed and was 'afraid for her life'.

According to the documents, Miller reported to police that a razor blade was placed in her tire at the Springmaid Pier. She claimed this was the second time a razor had deflated her tire within that week. The report said that as Miller was leaving the pier, she heard a pop and noticed metal protruding from her tire. The responding officer said the metal was a tire deflation device that could be bought online. Miller believed a suspect, whose name is redacted in the report, may have placed or had the item placed on the tire. The report stated that Miller noticed "strange activity" and believed people were following or watching her. Miller told police that the unidentified suspect had a history of similar actions against her, according to the report.

Authorities are investigating the possible involvement of more suspects in the murder of the three surfers in Mexico, according to the Baja California state attorney general. María Andrade said law enforcement have zeroed in on an unspecified number of alleged accomplices in connection to the killing of Australian brothers Callum Robison, 33, and Jake Robinson, 30, and their California friend Jack Carter Rhoad, 30, last week in the Pacific coast seaside town of Ensenada. 'We have more people considering that they could have participated in the investigation,' Andrade told Milenio news outlet on Monday. 'I couldn't tell you the number due to secrecy at this time.' The attorney general's remarks were made just a day after the families identified the bodies of the surfers.

She reported hearing a pop and saw metal protruding from her tire, according to one report. The metal was a tire deflation device, Horry County police in South Carolina said. Miller provided a name—which was redacted in the report—of someone who she believed was responsible, WPDE reported. But police said there was insufficient evidence to prove he placed the device.      

Husband of missing Florida women arrested at Miami airport by FBI FORT LAUDERDALE — The estranged husband of a Florida woman who disappeared three months ago in Spain has been charged by U.S. federal agents with her kidnapping. The FBI and other federal agents arrested David Knezevich at Miami International Airport on Saturday. The Fort Lauderdale resident is charged in connection with the Feb. 2 disappearance of his 40-year-old wife, Ana Knezevich, from the Madrid apartment where she had been staying since shortly after their separation last year. David Knezevich, a 36-year-old business owner originally from Serbia, briefly appeared in Miami federal court Monday and will have a bond hearing Friday. “The Spanish National Police, Customs and Border Protection, the Diplomatic Security Service, and the FBI continue their investigation. Because this is an ongoing investigation, no further information will be released,” the FBI said in a statement.

(NewsNation) — A South Carolina woman who was found dead in a North Carolina state park of an apparent gunshot wound to her head had previously told police in March after a series of harassment incidents that she feared for her life. “The victim advised me she was afraid for her life,” Horry County Police Department Officer Nick D’Amocamtonio wrote in an incident report from March 11. The report continued, “While I was out with the victim, she received a No Caller ID call which ended up being the suspect, the suspect was advised that the victim does not want any further contact and if he proceeds then warrants may possibly be written up.” Mica Miller, 30, was found dead April 27 with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head at Lumber State Park in Lumberton, North Carolina, according to the police report.

5th person arrested in connection with deaths of Kansas Moms TEXAS COUNTY, Okla. — A fifth person was charged with multiple felonies in connection to the murder of two Kansas mothers in the Oklahoma Panhandle. Paul Grice was charged with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of kidnapping and one count of conspiracy to commit murder in the first degree. His charges came after four other people, 43-year-old Tad Cullum, 54-year-old Tifany Adams, 50-year-old Cole Twombly, and 44-year-old Cora Twombly, were charged in the case. According to an affidavit, a relative of the Twomblys told investigators that Grice was part of an anti-government group with a religious affiliation called "God's Misfits" along with the other four suspects. The relative also said they were told that Grice played a role in the deaths of Veronica Butler and Jillian Kelley, two mothers who disappeared from Texas County in late March.
