Many of us want this year to be better than last year. We start off with good intentions by making commitments to improve but we inevitably end up not following through. There has to be a better way, right? A perfect year may be impossible, but a better year is possible.

Jesus is the Light of the World - will you accept his gift?

Jesus is the Light of the World and darkness will never overcome the light. Is there any darkness in your life? Let Jesus bring you hope.

The BIBLE is "Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth"? Let's think about that one because most of the Bible is made up of stories.

The B-I-B-L-E, YES THAT'S THE BOOK FOR ME . . . but is it, really? If it is, then why? Maybe the Bible is not your book anymore. You tossed it out as matured. Why do we need the Bible? Listen and learn.

Why can we pray?

What difference does prayer make?

Does God still speak today?

Do you ever consider that your prayers aren’t answered because of some sort of angelic interference? Or when a child is molested, a baby born with defects, or when people reject the gospel, or an elderly person is attacked and beaten by a gang of teenagers do you ever consider that it might be because of the presence of a menacing presence of an evil prince over a region?

Biblical faith is a who, not a what. And that's the problem.

At the end of the day, spiritual doubt can be a powerful and formative experience, strengthening and bolstering faith. For more than half of those who have wrestled with doubt (53%), the time spent asking honest questions about what they believe about their religion or God made their faith stronger.

Why is the Ascension of Our Lord an integral part of our everyday faith?

In this sermon series we are celebrating the risen Christ by looking at Jesus’ death as a sacrifice. Thinking about Jesus’ death can make us feel squeamish because of all the blood that is involved with sacrifices. Or, maybe the whole concept of sacrifice feels barbaric to you so it may be hard to except his sacrifice or to want any part of it. But Jesus’ death is life changing for us. This series will help us move beyond a narrow view of Jesus’ death by looking at four aspects of his sacrifice. Our hope is that you will see how Jesus’ death can change your life.
